The ratio of LSCs in the AML cell lines (KG1a and Kasumi-1) was calculated in order to determine whether the LSCs were successfully sorted; CD34-PE and CD38-FITC antibodies were used to stain AML cell lines and LSCs (KG1a-stem cells [SCs] and Kasumi-1-SCs) separated by magnetic beads [19, 20], followed by identification of LSCs using flow cytometry. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and acute myeloid leukemia.
