SHH cluster is uniquely enriched in molecular interactions of various gene products, including two proto-oncogenes (ETS1 [Cao et al., 2015] and JUND [Elliott et al., 2019]), a calcium voltage-gated channel (CACNA1A) significantly downregulated in MB and other brain tumors (Phan et al., 2017), and interestingly a long noncoding RNA (LINC00461), expressed predominantly in the brain and involved in tumorigenesis (Yang et al., 2017).
