Given the high number of novel potentially ALM-associated SNPs these genes possess, combined with the evidence presented above, we hypothesize that CPED1, BMP2, LRP5, WNT4, WNT16, PPP6R3, RUNX2 and CLIC5 may participate in ALM development and are potential ALM-associated genes. This evidence concerns the gene RUNX2 and acral lentiginous melanoma.
