Similar to TMED9, one of the candidate markers, aldehyde dehydrogenase 7 family member A1 (ALDH7A1), was previously reported to be more highly expressed in HCC tissues than in non-tumorous liver tissues, but its expression in tumor tissues was not correlated with OS, recurrence, or microvascular invasion [32]. This evidence concerns the gene ALDH7A1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
