Pathway enrichment based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) showed that 41 pathways were involved in the analgesic effect of HJ, including pathways in cancer, the phosphoinositide 3-kinase- (PI3K-) protein kinase B (Akt) signaling pathway, prostate cancer, proteoglycans in cancer, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, Ras signaling pathway, Epstein–Barr virus infection, osteoclast differentiation, and hepatitis C (Figure 2(b)). Here, WNK2 is linked to hepatitis C virus infection.
