LOX and adenoma: The total number of aldehydes incorporated into cross-linking (DHLNL + HLNL + 2 × Pyr + 2 × d-Pyr + 2 × HHMD) was also significantly increased in neoplastic mammary tissue samples (p < 0.05; Table 5a), indicating that LOX is highly active in carcinoma and adenoma, producing increased amounts of cross-links.
