New York Heart Association (NYHA) class III or IV heart failure 6 M after ASA (7 [63.6%] before ASA vs.1 [9.1%] after ASA, p = 0.024) and the serum N-terminal prohormone of B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) level 6 M after ASA (1610.5 [211.0–5060.0] pg/mL before ASA vs. 315.0 [266.0–1035.0] pg/mL after ASA, p = 0.003) were significantly improved compared to those before ASA.
