Our data show adverse remodeling in the heart after 2 and 4 months of treatment, with changes in echocardiography, increased cardiac troponin-I (cTnI) and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels and increased cardiac fibrosis as indicated by Masson’s trichrome and Picrosirius red staining.
