Additionally, in neurons that were differentiated from iPSCs from juvenile HD patients, RNAseq revealed the upregulation of several genes that encode proteins that are involved in Ca2+ signaling, including inositol-1,4,5-triphosphate receptor 1 (IP3R1), TRPC6, and CRAC channels, and the downregulation of genes that encode proteins that are involved in cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) response element-binding protein (CREB), glutamate, and GABA signaling, axonal guidance, and synaptic function (HD iPSC Consortium., 2017).
