Clinical factors previously reported independently associated with CRC prognosis were entered in a Cox proportional hazards regression model: age, gender, primary tumor sites, metastatic synchronicity, metastatic lesion number, metastatic tumor size, surgical margin, pre-operative carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), together with the number of mutated DDR signaling pathways. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and colorectal carcinoma.
