Indeed, different chemotherapeutic treatments result in distinct site-specific LIMD1 phosphorylation, with the highest frequencies at the sites S272 and S277 (Supplementary Figure 7), with experimental validation in lung cancer cell lines showing that phosphorylation of these sites in mitosis is required for mitotic progression and LIMD1 tumor-suppressing activity (63).
