RAX and Papillary Craniopharyngioma: Interestingly, our results reveal that tanycyte-derived tumors in ME mimic papillary craniopharyngioma (frequently carrying BrafV600E mutation) with respect to their anatomic location, genetic mutation, and pathological features, suggesting that hypothalamic Rax+ tanycytes could serve as a cell-of-origin for papillary craniopharyngioma.
