The most commonly reported abnormal laboratory parameters in children were leukopenia/lymphopenia (16–33%), leukocytosis (13%), increased creatine kinase (5–37%), elevated D-dimer (12–52%), CRP (17–40%), AST (19%) and alanine aminotransferase (15%) (4, 63, 68–70). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is lymphopenia.
