The remaining eight genes are newly identified methylation drivers in lung cancer, including 5 known cancer methylation driver genes in other cancer types (HSPB6, IRX1, ITGA5, PCDH17, TBX5) and 3 novel genes that had not been previously reported (ADCY8, GALNT13 and TCTEX1D1) (Figure S7).
