Although shRNAs targeting EZH2 or its chemical inhibitor GSK126 significantly promoted genotoxicity and increased cell chemosensitivity (Gao et al., 2017), GSK126 treatments did not enhance the sensitivity of glioma cells to γ-irradiation (Gursoy-Yuzugullu et al., 2017), suggesting that the role of EZH2 could be dependent on DNA damage quality. This evidence concerns the gene EZH2 and central nervous system cancer.
