The following prothrombotic platelet-related proteins were increased in T2D versus controls: PF4 (76548 ± 15982 vs 37645 ± 5704 RFU, p<0.05); PGVI (4251 ± 331 vs 3567 ± 192 RFU, p<0.05); P-selectin (14030 ± 773 vs 11255 ± 467 RFU, p<0.01); PAI-1 (2161 ± 225 vs 1341 ± 208 RFU, p<0.01). This evidence concerns the gene PF4 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
