Our stool DNA-based test employs a single methylation marker SDC2 for detecting CRC, whereas the multitarget stool-based DNA test called Cologuard (which is USA Food and Drug Administration-approved) assesses the presence of 2 methylation markers (BMP3 and NDRG4) and KRAS mutations and includes FIT of stool samples. Here, NDRG4 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
