Over the years, concerns relating to pancreatic safety have been raised in regard to the use of DPP‐4 inhibitors,31 however, recent meta‐analyses have indicated that there is no relationship between use of DPP‐4 inhibitors and the development of pancreatic cancer, and that DPP‐4 inhibitors are associated with a low or negligible risk of acute pancreatitis.32, 33.
