Experiments funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and conducted in our hospital have demonstrated that the expression level of WAVE3 increases significantly in the tissues of breast carcinoma in situ and the expression level of WAVE3 is also higher in the tissues of invasive breast carcinoma than in those of breast carcinoma in situ. This evidence concerns the gene WASF3 and lobular breast carcinoma in situ.
