BRCA2 and breast carcinoma: While curing breast cancer during pregnancy would be challenging, the use of PARP inhibitors has garnered much enthusiasm (Okazaki and Moss, 1999; Nathanson and Domchek, 2011), and several such agents have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of patients with ovarian and breast cancers harboring inherited BRCA1 and/or BRCA2 mutations.
