RGS17 and infection: Similarly, we observed increases in these genes in the cochlea following infection with adenoviral vector expressing RGS17. In these studies, overexpression of RGS17 led to increased expression of mRNA level of NOX3, iNOS and KIM1 to 2.5 ± 0.4, 2.4 ± 0.2 and 2.4 ± 0.2 fold, respectively (Fig. 7B).
