The genes and SNPs significantly associated with severe acne found by Petridis et al. [11] were: BCL11A (BAF chromatin remodeling complex subunit BCL11A) rs2901000, FGF2 (fibroblast growth factor 2) rs4487353, GLI2 (GLI family zinc finger 2) rs1092479, LOC105378977 rs158639, PINX1 (PIN2 (TERF1) interacting telomerase inhibitor 1) rs28570522 and SUGCT (succinyl-CoA:glutarate-CoA transferase) rs7809981; and by Yang et al. [38]: F13A1 (Coagulation Factor XIII A Chain) rs435048. This evidence concerns the gene GLI1 and acne.
