Consistently, Rab7 knockdown led to the accumulation of both LC3B-II and p62 in human CRC cells (Fig. S6a) and abolished TRIM39 overexpression-enhanced autophagic degradation of LC3B-II (Fig. 7a–c), suggesting that TRIM39’s regulation on autophagy is dependent on Rab7 activity. The gene discussed is TRIM39; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
