Interestingly, we found that TREM2 expression in the circulating monocytes of AIS patients was negatively correlated with a 24-h urine excretion (Fig. 6g and Supplementary Figure 7), while decreased TREM2 level of macrophages was associated with increased NIHSS scores (Fig. 6g and Supplementary Figure 7). The gene discussed is TREM2; the disease is androgen insensitivity syndrome.
