Collectively, our results demonstrated that kaempferol induces apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells via ROS-mediated Akt/mTOR pathway inactivation, and that pharmacological inhibition of TGM2 by kaempferol in vitro and in vivo may provide a novel treatment option for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. The gene discussed is TGM2; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
