It is reported that knockdown of caspase-1 attenuates the right ventricular remodeling induced by pulmonary hypertension in mice (Udjus et al., 2019), mitigates left ventricular dilation after myocardial infarction in mice (Frantz et al., 2003), and weakens angiotensin II-induced cardiomyocytes hypertrophy (Bai et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene CASP1 and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
