O-GlcNAcylation, one type of post-translational modification in HBP, was prevalent in tumors, and its high expression level was found to cause p53 instability and promote ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation, thereby leading to resistance to cisplatin-induced apoptosis in lung cancer (Luanpitpong et al., 2017). Here, TP53 is linked to lung cancer.
