The results indicated that only patients with MM, expressing higher levels of APOA1 exhibited longer overall survival (determined as the time of diagnosis to the most recent follow-up or the time of death), progression-free survival (determined as the time of diagnosis to the time of the most recent follow-up or the time of disease progression as per the criteria of International Myeloma Working Group) and cause specific survival (determined as the time of diagnosis to the most recent follow-up or the time of death caused by myeloma). Here, APOA1 is linked to Miyoshi myopathy.
