TNFSF8, also known as CD30L, interacts with its receptor on effector or memory T helper cells following activation by neutrophils, CD4+ T, and antigen-presenting cells, eventually mediating inflammatory diseases like IBD (Sun et al., 2008), RA (Barbieri et al., 2015), and CD (Hong et al., 2016). Here, TNFSF8 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
