Assessment of cardiovascular risk factors in women with PCOS was recommended in 8 CPGs using an array of risk factors including obesity especially increased abdominal adiposity, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, subclinical vascular disease, impaired glucose tolerance, family history of premature cardiovascular disease, lack of physical activity, metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, high levels of CRP, and homocysteine (12-14,17-19,21,28). Here, CRP is linked to hypertensive disorder.
