The participation of CCN4 in cancer development has been reported by many previous studies, which showed that CCN4 serves as a tumor promoter in colorectal (Wu et al., 2016), breast (Xie et al., 2001b), pancreatic (Yang et al., 2015), and lung (Chen et al., 2007) cancer by enhancing cell migration and promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). The gene discussed is CCN4; the disease is neoplasm.
