In addition to HCC, MAP17 was also overexpressed in many other types of tumors, such as cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, thyroid cancer, uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma, and uterine carcinosarcoma (Supplementary Figure 3), suggesting that dysregulation of MAP17 is a universal phenomenon in human cancers.
