POMC and opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome: Corticosteroids (prednisone, prednisolone, dexamethasone), adrenocorticotropic hormones, intravenous immunoglobulin, and plasma exchange could be used either alone or in combination; also, in combination with rituximab.[3–6,8,18] In long-term treatment, immunosuppressants such as azathioprin, cyclophosphamide, and mofetil mycophenolate may be used.[29,30] In para-infectious OMS, antimicrobiological treatment combined with immunotherapy is recommended.[4] Additionally, as symptomatic treatment, regardless of OMS origin, antiepileptic drugs and benzodiazepines could be helpful.
