Most recently, IGF2BP1 was identified as a potent N6-methyladenosine (m6A) reader in cancer resulting in elevated RNA-association and consequently enforced expression of pro-oncogenic factors like MYC, SRF and E2F1 (Huang H. et al., 2018; Lan et al., 2019; Müller et al., 2019; Müller et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene SRF and cancer.
