The 2016 World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumours of the CNS recognises five distinct medulloblastoma molecular variants; (1) WNT‐activated, (2) SHH‐activated TP53 mutant, (3) SHH‐activated TP53 wild‐type, (4) non‐SHH/non‐WNT (encompassing Group3 and Group4 as provisional variants).2 The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is neoplasm.
