Methylation status for PTEN and SMAD4 were statistically significant as breast cancer patients reported hypermethylation compared to benign and control groups (77.1 ± 17.9 vs. 24.9 ± 4.5 and 15.1 ± 1.4 and 70.1 ± 14.4 vs. 28.2 ± 0.61 and 29.5 ± 3.6, respectively).
