In adjusted linear regression models stratified by each stressor, we found that the relationship between PFNA and CRH was stronger among women who experienced stressful life events (β = 7.06, 95% CI = 2.82, 11.3), depression (β = 20.77, 95% CI = 1.56, 39.99), food insecurity (β = 9.52, 95% CI = 1.72, 17.32), and financial strain (β = 10.61, 95% CI = 4.90, 16.33) compared to women who did not experience these stressors (Fig. 2 and Tables S5, S7–S9). This evidence concerns the gene CRH and depressive symptom measurement.
