OXT and eating disorder: For example, intranasal oxytocin was found to reduce craving in addiction (Hansson et al., 2018; McRae-Clark et al., 2013; Miller et al., 2016), reduce food intake in eating disorders (Giel et al., 2018), improve negative symptoms and working memory in schizophrenia (Gibson et al., 2014; Michalopoulou et al., 2015; Pedersen et al., 2011), and reduce avoidance of negatively valenced non-social stimuli (Harari-Dahan and Bernstein, 2017).
