The relationship between PD‐L1 expression and prognosis of thymoma and thymic carcinoma remains unclear, and the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) for treating thymoma or thymic SCC has not yet been established.34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 45 In a review of ICI therapy for thymoma and thymic SCC patients, a high expression of PD‐L1 was associated with more effective response, and the incidence of side effects was higher in thymoma.46 Here, CD274 is linked to thymic carcinoma.
