Further, LCN6, a member of lipocalin protein family, participates in the regulation of cellular functions, such as cell homeostasis, substance transport, and immune response, and CSPG5 is a proteoglycan with an EGF-like module that may function as a growth and differentiation factor of neurons; these factors have not been previously reported to be related with ovarian cancer prognosis, and could serve as novel biomarkers [44–47]. This evidence concerns the gene LCN6 and ovarian cancer.
