In order to verify the accuracy of the differential expression of the above three potential biomarker genes, we then substituted these three differentially expressed genes into the other dataset (GSE6968) for validation and found that only AGBL4 gene had an identical expression trend to the first two datasets (GSE6872 and GSE6967), and the result (Figure 3B) proved that the AGBL4 gene could be the diagnostic semen biomarker for teratozoospermia, which also proved the reliability of the method used in this study. The gene discussed is AGBL4; the disease is Abnormal sperm morphology.
