We performed feature selection analysis and found that combination of three genes (TLCD4, PRSS30P, and ZNF493) and seven genes (TLCD4, PRSS30P, ZNF493, AGO2, SLC37A3, SLC2A1, and RPL11) showed moderate performance in identifying patients with sepsis and ARDS within 1 day after admission (Figure 6b). Here, AGO2 is linked to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
