Levels of RDW and hemoglobin upon admission for COVID-19 were comparable to pre-COVID-19 levels [14.2% (IQR, 13.3–15.7) vs. 14.0% (IQR, 13.2–15.1) for RDW and 13.1 g/dl (IQR, 11.7–14.4) vs 12.8 g/dl (11.5–14.6) for hemoglobin], while levels of CRP were significantly increased upon admission for COVID-19 [57 mg/dl (IQR, 22–116) vs. 8 mg/dl (3–23)] (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and COVID-19.
