Though hypomethylation of YTHDF1 promoter contributed to its high expression in cervical cancer, whether HPV infection regulates the expression of YTHDF1 or other m6A regulator requires more investigations and dissecting the relationship between HPV and m6A modification might be conducive to understanding the mechanisms underlying HPV-induced cervical cancer progression.
