Two SNPs were replicated in our cohort: rs4772468, located in the FGF14 gene and associated with an increased risk of oesophagitis at 3 months (OR = 4.36; 95% CI = 1.15–16.46; p-value = 0.029), and rs7165790, located in the BLM gene and previously found to have a protective effect for oesophagitis (OR = 0.16; 95% CI = 0.04–0.65; p-value = 0.010). This evidence concerns the gene BLM and esophagitis.
