Increased level of p-Tau(Ser396) and formation of intracellular deposits, known as neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs), has been found in the brain of patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD), in several tauopathies, in various models of Parkinsonism and synucleinopathies, as well as in the result of perinatal exposure to lead (Pb) [36,37,38,66,67]. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
