[60] observed beneficial effects of resveratrol for the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in trophoblasts during the pathogenesis of preeclampsia through lowering the expression of E-cadherin and increasing the level of β-cadherin, N-cadherin, vimentin, snail, and MMP-2/MMP-9, and angiogenesis-related factors such as VEGF, sFlt-1, AngI, and AngII compared to the preeclampsia group not receiving resveratrol.
