CNR1 and cancer: Though many investigations are done in CB1 and FAAH1 as targets for varied cancer types [18,19,20], with regard to targeting ovarian cancer, there are only two reports: (i) localization and function of CB1 and FAAH1 in folliculogenesis, preovulatory follicle maturation, oocyte maturity and ovulation [6], and (ii) increased and differential expression of CB1 and FAAH1 in the ovaries at various stages from borderline to malignant tumours [21].
