In glioblastoma and head and neck cancer, phosphorylated DCBLD2 recruits tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated protein 6 (TRAF6), which leads to the increased E3 ubiquitin ligase activity of TRAF6 and ubiquitin-mediated AKT activation, thereby enhancing EGFR-driven tumorigenesis [19].
