CYP3A5 and chronic kidney disease: After adjusting for potential confounding factors with p < 0.25 using multiple logistic regression, the factors associated with rapid CKD progression were adjustments to antihypertensives (adjusted Odds Ratio [aOR] 1.172, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.055, 1.301), CYP3A5*3/*3 polymorphism (aOR 4.190, 95% CI: 1.268, 13.852), young age (aOR 0.963, 95% CI: 0.937, 0.989), dyslipidaemia (aOR 2.317, 95% CI: 1.030, 5.211), smoking (aOR 7.126, 95% CI: 2.144, 23.685) and use of TCM (aOR 2.684, 95% CI: 1.045, 6.891) (Table 5).
